On this day of remembrance, let us remember that while these 7 of the Shuttle Columbia made the ultimate sacrifice for their countries, their passion and their respective fields, their sacrifice has allowed for future flights to be safer. Cdr Husband, Plt McCool, PC Anderson, MS Chawla, MS Brown, MS Clark and PS Ramon died doing what they love, which was exploring space and furthering science. Their loss will not be forgotten.

This should be a sobering reminder to all engineers that lack of attention to detail can take the lives of loved ones.

This is a wounderful page that you have created. I have used it for my US History II class and found it to not only be helpful in information but touching. I was in DC when one of the Columbia members was being buried at Arlington Cemetary, I shall never forget those images....

I still get tears in my eyes thinking of these brave men

and women who lost theirs lives in the pursuit of

knowledge. May their memory be a blessing.
