You rode a comet
To see the comet
That we might see it too

On a mission of peace
To a classroom in space
So gallantly you flew

You rode a comet
To see the comet
Brave Challengers of the Blue

The edge of the frontier
You passed too near
And became, the comet, Too

Throughout our species's history, people lose lives to advances: If our ancestors opted to cancel the progression of ship building due to losses at sea, would we be here today to state, "Yup, too many lives lost-let's cancel the shuttle!"?

Each astronaunt knew the risks-just as those who sail the oceans, rivers and fly planes-that death is a high possibility; have we deemed their sacrifice worthless by canceling the shuttle program?

God bless the crew of the space Shuttle Challenger on this, the 25th anniversary of that horrible day. They gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country in their quest to make space travel better. We will never forget their bravery. May they rest in eternal peace.

Continue to R.I.P. astronauts of Space Shuttle Challenger - I can still remember that tragic day, sitting in my 4th grade class in Largo, FL (I am now 33 y.o.) - I will never forget that day ... Prayers to your families ...
