I am so sorry to the families who lost someones life. I knew one person on the space shuttle and she was Christa McAuliffe.

I was working a JSC when we had "a really bad day" and disaster struck the Challenger. I remember the memorial service. I was doing okay until the missing man formation flew over. That always gets to me. I will alway cherish the good memories and honor the bad. Keep on keeping on.

We will miss all those who have looked at a challenge, taken action, and dedicated their lives to an idea, a philosophy, and the future. We remember their sacrifice and are aware of all the people who dedicate themselves to our future.

I watched both tragedies in my den. The first one with my daughter and my father. By the time the Columbia was lost, I had lost both daughter and father. Unbelieveable tragedies, but we must go on.

There are no "correct" words to express how deeply sorry I am for the loss of STS-107. These men and women are heros and will be remembered always. May God cup his hands around their families keeping them strong, united with Christ and with each other forever, Amen.

As I look up towards the beautiful sky today I still can see all of you shining so proud for our country. You are remember!
