I'm an 8th grader doing a History Fair on the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster. Just found this site on a search engine and after what I heard happened I understand the appreciation of the 7 members who died. Great site! Blessed be.

Today, coincidentally, my students and I read the story of the Challenger. I briefly tied it into the disaster of 9/11/2003. My students were amazed that I witnessed the tragedy when I was their age in 5th grade. I explained that both incidents were upsetting because the Challenger and the Twin Towers were symbols of American pride that were lost.

I was at a football game and when we were driving home the only thing on the radio was that the Columbia had broke up during re-entry. My heart is with the greiving familys and the lost crew members.
